Middle School coaches must possess knowledge and understanding of adolscent development unique to grades 7 & 8.
All coaches must be certified in CPR and First Aid their first year. All coaches must either have teaching certification or certification through the 45 hour coaching course in their second year. All certified coaches must obtain 15 CEUs over a five year period. All coaching permit rules apply to volunteers as well. New for 2010 is that all coaches must have complete the CIAC Module 15 regarding Concussion Awareness.
