Overview of Curriculum This Week:
In English class students will continue to read and act out "A Christmas Carol." Students will respond in their packets to each Stave. Students will be analyzing the text for theme. Our Victorian "Party" is on Thursday where students will be sharing information on the fashion, food, history, and entertainment of the Victorian Age. Our field trip to Hartford Stage is on Friday. Everyone is reminded to bring in a bagged lunch!
In math class students in students will continue working in the unit on various data display tools and how to choose the most appropriate display for the data. Periods 1,3,4 and m will be concluding work with stem- and- leaf plots and begin work with histograms. Period 6 will finish up work with box-and-whisker plots and continue with histograms. The last section in the unit is choosing the appropriate data display which we will be working in next week. Period 6 will have a chapter 3 test on Monday, Dec. 5. Periods 1, 3, 4 and m will have the test on Wed., Dec. 7.

In science class we will be finishing up Chapter 4 by completing the Directed Reading Packet in order to help students complete the chapter 4 reading. We will also be working on a lever lab to determine mechanical advantage of different levers as well as working with a bike to discuss mechanical advantage of wheels and axles.
