Overview of Curriculum This Week:
In English class students will
In 8th grade math class students will be correcting the chapter one test and the decimal multiplication and division quiz, as well as practicing more with decimal operations. Toward the end of the week students will be working with scientific notation.
In reading class students will participate in Reader's Workshop with three possible assignments which will be due on Friday. Classes will be disrupted a bit this week with the Field Trip so we will make the best use of time...working in class.
In social studies class we will
In science class students will be continuing to work on the work and power unit. We will be conducting an activity outside on Wednesday to calculate the amount of work and power it takes for each student to walk/run up a hill. On Friday they will have their second vocab quiz on words from Unit 7.1. Don't forget to study with flashcards!!! :)
