Overview of Curriculum This Week:
In Math class students students will be taking on Monday and tuesday the first of three benchmark Blueribbon tests that will be administered this year. These tests are to provide an initial benchmark, identify strengths and weaknesses and monitor progress. On Wednesday and Thursday, we will be finishing Chapter one with a discussion and application of a math problem-solving plan. There will be a chapter 1 test on Friday..
In 7th grade reading class we will continue to set a solid base in Reading strategies and word stems and begin discussing Author's Craft.
In social studies class we will
In science class students will be beginning a pendulum lab to tie together all of the concepts of energy and energy transformations that we have discussed. On Friday, we will be taking a quiz on Section 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3. :)
