EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - Earn up to 5 extra points on your last South American Geography Quiz by logging into your classes new quizlet on Early Americans and contributing to it's completion.

Students who earned a score lower than a 70% on the South American Geography Quiz have the opportunity to raise their grade. A open book / notes / ppt / quizlet quiz is available on the on-line textbook "My Assignments" page. It is entitled South American Geography Quiz Remediation. Students need to complete this quiz either at home or in school before Friday, October 29th, 2010. The score from the new quiz will be averaged with the score from their old quiz.

Homework: Textbook - "The Americas": Chapter One - Section One - "The Maya" READ pages 14 - 19 in your text. Answer the SECTION ASSESSMENT QUESTIONS #'s 1-4 on page 19. Answer all sub-parts of each question and be sure to use complete sentences. You may complete this assignment in the traditional way with paper and pen, or you may opt to complete the questions directly in your ON-LINE TEXT - HOWEVER make sure that your answers save in the on-line text before you opt for that choice. As discussed in class, if you have any doubt, revert to Paper and Pen. A third option would be to type your answers in WORD and print them out. Tuesday, October 26th, 2010: Digging for the Truth - OLMEC - Colossal Heads! Homework: Read the Handout Packet entitled "In the Midst of Mesoamerica" about the Maya. Complete the various questions in bedded in the packet. Wednesday, October 27th, 2010: finish Digging for the Truth - OLMEC - Colossal Heads!
