World Language

The World Languages Middle School teachers welcome you!

 


Spanish Grade 7:
In 2010-2011 all 7th graders will take one semester of Spanish. This will be an introductory class that will emphasize the importance of Spanish and world languages in general. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Spanish in the United States and throughout the various Spanish speaking countries of the world. Students will explore Spanish using 21st Century learning skills incorporating Internet based lessons and real world usage of the language.

Spanish: 

In 2010-2011 all 8th graders taking Spanish I will continue developing basic skills to enhance their ability to communicate in Spanish.  Emphasis will also be placed on understanding and appreciating Hispanic cultures. This course will present students with new vocabulary, grammatical structures and cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world.  Students will continue to focus on speaking, writing, reading, and listening  through communicative activities and 21st Century resources such as the Internet.

Chinese:

Chinese I students will have an opportunity to develop a foundation of the four skills:  listening, speaking, reading and writing, while acquiring an appreciation of theChinese language and culture.

Italian:

Italian I students will have an opportunity to develop a foundation of the four skills:  listening, speaking, reading and writing, while acquiring an appreciation of the Italian language and culture.
